Biden Regime will outsource its spying on Trump supporters to allies in Big Tech while allowing corporations to require COVID passports
Authoritarian Democrats have figured out a new way to violate the Constitution and trample Americans’ rights without actually doing the violating or the trampling.
They are simply outsourcing their tyranny to willing Marxist allies in Corporate America.
In recent days, for instance, the Biden Regime has indicated it will partner with Big Tech to ‘monitor domestic extremist activity online’ because the NSA, the FBI, Homeland Security, and the CIA are all forbidden by law from spying on American citizens.
CNN gave away the intent behind the regime’s initiative with the choice of photo for its story — Jan. 6 rioters and “Trump supporters” tussling with police who are, by definition, all “domestic terrorists”:
The Biden administration is considering using outside firms to track extremist chatter by Americans online, an effort that would expand the government’s ability to gather intelligence but could draw criticism over surveillance of US citizens.
The Department of Homeland Security is limited in how it can monitor citizens online without justification and is banned from activities like assuming false identities to gain access to private messaging apps used by extremist groups such as the Proud Boys or Oath Keepers.
Instead, federal authorities can only browse through unprotected information on social media sites like Twitter and Facebook and other open online platforms. A source familiar with the effort said it is not about decrypting data but rather using outside entities who can legally access these private groups to gather large amounts of information that could help DHS identify key narratives as they emerge.
As is always the case, the left-wing propagandists in the ‘mainstream media’ who are working on behalf of Biden’s Marxist Democrats never mention the ‘other’ extremists and real domestic terrorists — Antifa and Black Lives Matter. Individuals who belong to those two groups have actually spent the better part of 18 months destroying city blocks, looting businesses, besieging federal courthouses, burning police stations, and murdering political opponents. But they don’t merit even a mention.
No. It’s those right-leaning folks we really have to worry about and spy on, see? Those Trump supporters; they are the real threat.
“The plan being discussed inside DHS, according to multiple sources, would, in effect, allow the department to circumvent” limits on information the government can legally collect, CNN added.
In response to the story, DHS officials told CNN that Americans should not believe their eyes and ears, as one official told the network that the agency “is not partnering with private firms to surveil suspected domestic terrorists online,” noting that “it is blatantly false” to suggest otherwise.
“All of our work to address the threat of domestic terrorism is done consistent with the Constitution and other applicable law, and in close coordination with our privacy and civil liberties experts,” the DHS statement noted further.
In short: If it looks like a dog and barks like a dog, don’t you dare call it a dog.
CNN adds that DHS is nonetheless actively considering partnering with ‘research firms’ (all the major tech platforms have ‘research’ arms) who “have more visibility” online, though as of yet, sources have not gone there.
But clearly, that is where this is headed. Last week, Fox News’s Tucker Carlson noted that while the Biden regime has said neither Congress nor the federal government will require Americans to have a COVID ‘vaccine passport’ in order to be fully participatory citizens in their own country, private industry and corporations are beginning to do so, which in effect means there will be a COVID vaccine passport mandate for much of the country.
“[J]ust because there is no official federal requirement to take the coronavirus vaccine does not mean that you and your family won’t be required to take it, with the full backing of the Biden administration, private industry and nonprofits may be forcing you to,” he said earlier this week.
