On the heels of The New York Post’s release of numerous emails detailing Hunter Biden’s alleged foreign deals — some of which seemed to prove that Joe Biden knew more about his son’s dealings than he’s previously let on — liberal big tech social media companies immediately deployed efforts to halt the viral spread of the damning information.
The tactics they used were reminiscent of tactics used in countries like China, North Korea or Cuba to stop the flow of information from reaching the masses, including the total banning of social media accounts belonging to high-level officials, including White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany.
According to The New York Post, McEnany’s Twitter account was banned shortly after she shared the outlet’s bombshell story on Wednesday morning.
McEnany said that the only way she’s able to regain access to her account — which reaches millions of Americans — is to delete the story from her Twitter feed. In other words, if she doesn’t comply with Twitter’s censorship strategy, the White House press secretary is no longer able to use the platform.
“When I log on to my Twitter account, it says I’m permanently banned. They essentially have me at gunpoint and said unless you delete a news story by the New York Post, I cannot regain access to my account,” McEnany told Sean Hannity on Wednesday night.
As of Thursday, it appears as if her account was restored. However, she made clear in her first tweet that Twitter’s actions were shameful.
“Your account has been blocked. We have determined that this account violated the Twitter Rules. Specifically, for: Violating our rules against distribution of hacked material.”
As we all clearly know, the information contained in The Post’s report was not hacked. It originated from the owner of a computer repair shop in Delaware from a laptop that once belonged to Hunter Biden. The shop owner took legal possession of the laptop after Biden — or any of his associates — failed to pay for or pick up the repaired laptop after a period of time.
But those minor details do not seem to matter much to Twitter, as they have now been exposed as powerful protectors of the Biden campaign. It’s no secret that big tech companies like Twitter have been in the tank for Democrats for some time, but it’s shocking that they would make it this obvious just 19 days before a Presidential election.
McEnany warned viewers of something that many conservative news publishers have experienced and known for years — big tech absolutely will censor you if they don’t approve of your ideological beliefs.
“Make no mistake, if they can ban the Press Secretary of the United States for President Trump, they can ban you, as a citizen, and that is pathetic.” she said.
