Three bounty hunters 'kick down door of man's home and hold him and 16-year-old at gunpoint before realizing they had the wrong house and fleeing the scene'

Three bounty hunters allegedly broke down a Nashville man's door and held him at gunpoint before realizing the person they were looking for didn't live there.

The terrifying incident unfolded on February 8 when Khalil Abdullah and two men who worked for his company, Matador Recovery, charged into the home of Lavaris Comer looking for a man named 'Tavaris', according to a police report obtained by DailyMail.com.

The men allegedly knocked Comer to the ground and pointed their guns at him while ignoring his insistence that he was not the man they were looking for.

The bounty hunters' true target - 'Tavaris' - had allegedly failed to show up in court.

They eventually realized they were in the wrong house and fled the scene before Comer called police and reported their license plate number.

More than two months later Abdullah, 51, was arrested on April 15 and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated criminal trespass in connection with the incident. The other two men have not been identified.

According to court documents, Abdullah and two other men had arrived at Comer's home on Westchester Drive on the night of February 8 and knocked on the door.

Comer answered and told the men they had the wrong address before closing the door.

That's when police said Abdullah kicked open the door, grabbed Comer and threw him on the floor, where he held him at gunpoint.

A second bounty hunter then allegedly entered the home and also pointed a firearm at Comer.

The men allegedly told Comer that they knew he was lying and that he was really 'Tavaris.'

The ruckus drew the attention of a 16-year-old in the home, who went downstairs to see what was happening.

The teenager was then allegedly also thrown to the ground by the two gunmen, and had a firearm pointed at his head.

It is unclear how long the men were in the house before they realized they had the wrong address and fled from the scene.

As they drove away, though, the Comers caught their license plate number and reported it to police. Warrants were issued for Abdullah's arrest after the family positively identified him as one of the men who broke into their home.

Abdullah is now facing three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated criminal trespass.

He was released on a $16,000 bond, posted by Brooke's Bail Bonding, and is due back in court in Nashville on June 18, when he is expected to reach a settlement.

This was not the first time Abdullah has been arrested in an attempt to bring in one of his charges.

In 2014, Abdullah was arrested in Georgia and charged with kidnapping and aggravated assault after he and a partner were accused of breaking into a woman's home in their search for her husband, who was accused of not showing up for traffic court.

When the two couldn't find Tiffany Hayes' husband, who she said did not live at the house, the bondsmen held the family hostage. One of the children took cellphone video of the men making threats.

'I told you to go into your room and stay out of the way, or you’ll get shot,' one of the bondsmen said in the video.

They proceed to tell Hayes that she was harboring a fugitive and is going to prison.

As she is shoved into the bondmen's truck, the video shows, she urged them to keep their hands off her daughter, who was filming the incident.

Ultimately, though, a jury found Abdullah and his partner, Kevin Roberson, not guilty on all charges.
