Trump campaign is mocked for holding press conference in a parking lot between a sex shop and a crematorium in Philadelphia after 'mistakenly' booking Four Seasons Total Landscaping and NOT luxury hotel

President Donald Trump has been roundly mocked after his campaign held a press conference at a local garden center in Pennsylvania after earlier appearing to claim it would be held at a luxury hotel.

In a since-deleted tweet, Trump had said there would be a 'big press conference' at the 'Four Seasons' on Saturday morning.

However, this was soon corrected, with the hotel itself tweeting: 'To clarify, President Trump's press conference will NOT be held at Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia.

'It will be held at Four Seasons Total Landscaping — no relation with the hotel.'

Four Seasons Total Landscaping in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is situated next to Delaware Valley Cremation Center and Fantasy Island Adult Books, where owners host 'Dildo Madness' sales throughout the year.

The owner of the shop, Zarif Jacob, was reportedly confused why the press conference was near his store and why it was held at all.

'He lost. He knows he lost,' Jacob told an editor for DefectorMedia. Jacob added that the swarm of reporters and media were taking up his parking lot.

In a new post, Trump himself later confirmed the conference would be held at the landscaping center, but ultimately it was his lawyer Rudy Giuliani who spoke to reporters at the scene rather than the US president.

The statement from Giuliani came after it was announced that Joe Biden was projected to win the US election and reiterated Trump's calls for legal proceedings against supposed election fraud.

'He's not going to concede when at least 600,000 ballots are in question,' Giuliani said.

But by then, many people on social media were cracking jokes about the Four Seasons mix up.

Simon Blackwell, who helped write 'The Thick of It' with Armando Iannucci, connected it with another of the pair's political comedies, tweeting: 'Veep still available to stream and on DVD.'

Comedy writer Zack Bornstein tweeted: 'I could write jokes for 800 years and I'd never think of something funnier than Trump booking the Four Seasons for his big presser, and it turning out to be the Four Seasons Total Landscaping parking lot between a dildo store and a crematorium.

'Also the twist that they announced Biden won DURING the conference, and Rudy asked which network called it, and the reporters said "All of them".'

A tech editor at CNN chimed in to speculate how the press conference would be covered in future history books.

Actor Patton Oswalt satirized the incident by saying,'This is not over.'

Another comedian, Christine Nangle posted a video in which she pretended to take the call booking the space outside the landscaper.

'No we don't have a podium, why would we have a podium? We have a rototiller,' said Ms Nangle in character. 'I know that's not the same thing I'm just trying to match your energy.'

And many Twitter users said they'd love to watch a play-by-play documentary on how the press conference was organized.

'I now see many people long before me have been demanding the Four Seasons Total Landscaping article-to-book-to-podcast-to-multi-ep-documentary journey we as a healing nation deserve,' wrote author John Hodgman.

'I’m sorry. But may I suggest: make them ALL. If we can have 2 Fyre Fest docs, we MUST have this.'

At the press conference, Giuliani appeared taken aback as he learned during a press conference in Philadelphia that TV networks had called the presidential election for Joe Biden on Saturday morning.

Taking a question from a reporter, the former New York City Mayor initially looked confused about 'the call' before asking, 'Who was it called by?'

When he heard 'all the networks' had awarded Biden Pennsylvania's 20 electoral college votes, he quickly regained his composure, taking on a sarcastic tone and looking around to his team saying 'oh my goodness!'

He repeated that the Trump campaign would continue to fight the result as he said: 'Networks don't get to decide elections, courts do.'

'All the networks, we have to forget about the law, judges don't count. All the networks. All the networks,' he mocked, looking to the sky and raising his arms upward.

'All the networks thought Biden was going to win by ten percent. Gee, what happened?'

He was then asked whether the team would be able to change the result as it stands now through the courts.

'Of course!' he claimed. 'Courts set aside elections if they're illegal.

'In this particular case, I don't know if there's enough evidence to set aside the entire election - certainly not across the entire country - maybe in Pennsylvania.

'However, there certainly is enough evidence to disqualify a certain number of ballots,' he alleged.

'The ballots that were not properly inspected should be thrown out and that number of ballots should be taken out of the count. That could affect the election.'

Giuliani and the rest of Trump's legal team were holding the press conference Saturday as they announced that they intended to press on with Trump's election challenge, oblivious to Pennsylvania, and the presidency, already having been called for Biden.
