Mossimo Giannulli heads to golf course in LA as he and Lori Loughlin await prison sentences in college admissions fraud convictions

Mossimo Giannulli was snapped headed to a golf course about six weeks ahead of his prison sentence for his conviction in the college admissions scandal with wife Lori Loughlin.

The fashion designer, 57, was clad in a polo shirt with maroon and navy blue stripes, white shorts and a black belt and blue sneakers and a white visor on the autumn day.

Giannulli - who with Loughlin in May, entered a guilty plea in connection with conspiracy to commit wire fraud - sported a beard and chat on the phone ahead of his golfing outing.

Giannulli next month will commence with his five-month prison sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution, Lompoc in Northern California, as he's slated to turn himself in November 19, 2020 by 2 p.m. local time.

Giannulli is going to 'be designated to a facility closest to his home in Southern California, preferably FCI - Lompoc, commensurate with the appropriate security level,' according to court docs obtained by Us Weekly. Loughlin is slated to serve her two-month sentence in Victorville, California.

Both Giannulli and Loughlin admitted to paying admissions fixer Rick Singer $500,000 to arrange for the University of Southern California to recruit their daughters Isabella Rose, 22, and Olivia Jade, 21, onto the school's rowing team, despite that they had no background in the sport.

They each had virtual hearings August 21, with Giannulli delivering a brief statement expressing his regret over their crimes, which were uncovered as part of the federal investigation titled Operation Varsity Blues.

'I deeply regret the harm that my actions have caused my daughters, my wife and others,' he said. 'I take full responsibility for my conduct. I am ready to accept the consequences and move forward with the lessons I've learned from this experience.'

Loughlin told the court in her statement that she 'made an awful decision' getting involved in 'the plan to give [her] daughters an unfair advantage in the college admissions process.

'In doing so, I ignored my intuition and allowed myself to be swayed from my moral compass,' the Full House actress said.

She added, 'I thought I was acting out of love for my children, but in reality, I had only undermined and diminished my daughters’ abilities and accomplishments.'

'While I wish I could go back and do things differently, I can only take responsibility and move forward. I have great faith in God and I believe in redemption and I will do everything in my power to redeem myself and use this experience as a catalyst to do good and give back for the rest of my life.'

In agreement with their plea deals, Loughlin must also pay fines of $150,000 and complete 100 hours of community service, while Giannulli is slated to pay fines of $250,000, finish 250 hours of community service and remain on probation for two years.
