Fotis Dulos told his wife Jennifer he wanted his mistress to move into their family home with her daughter so they could all live together before she went missing and he killed himself

Fotis Dulos told his wife Jennifer that he wanted to move his mistress, Michelle Troconis, into their marital home and for them all to live together with their kids, friends of Jennifer have claimed.

According to a friend interviewed by Vanity Fair for an article on Monday, Dulos had told Jennifer he was no longer in love with her but wanted to remain a family with her and their five children.

It was 2017 and he told his wife he'd been having an affair with Michelle Troconis, the girlfriend he eventually was charged with over Jennifer's disappearance.

He told Jennifer that their family home in Jefferson Crossing, Connecticut, was big enough for them and their kids and Michelle and her daughter.

They fought to continue their marriage despite his affair with Troconis.

Not long afterwards, when Jennifer and Dulos came to blows again, she moved out with the kids.

One of the reasons was that he had purchased a 0.9mm Glock that he had brought into the home despite an agreement between the pair never to keep guns in the home while their kids were there.

He called 911, claiming Jennifer had kidnapped the children.

By then, their previous arguments included one in which a nanny claims he tried to run Jennifer over.

Years earlier, one of the couple's nannies accidentally ran over Dulos' mother. She died later in the hospital.

When Jennifer vanished in May 2019, she had been living in a rented home in New Canaan and the pair had started their divorce.

In court documents, she said she and the kids were terrified of him and never wanted to disobey him.

Jennifer vanished after dropping the five children off at school.

Her body has never been found but prosecutors say Dulos attacked her in the garage of her home by stabbing her then disposed of her body.

He was charged with her murder months later then killed himself in January this year while awaiting trial.

He always denied knowing anything about her death or disappearance.

His five children with Jennifer were by his bedside when he died.

Michelle Troconis was charged with conspiracy to commit murder. She denies the charges.

Kent Mawhinney, Dulos' lawyer turned friend, was hit with the same charge. He also denied it.
