Tech entrepreneur's $240,000 Lamborghini is stolen by moped thieves who lead cops on a 'Fast and Furious' four-hour chase through Manhattan before totaling the vehicle in the Bronx

A thief stole a $240,000 Lamborghini from a tech entrepreneur in New York City before leading a ‘Fast and Furious’ police chase and crashing at a McDonald’s.

The reported carjacking happened around 7pm on Friday night when Ekim Kaya, a Turkish technology businessman, was driving on the West Side Highway towards the Manhattan Classic Car Club.

Kaya told The New York Post he was nearing the car club when two people riding on a moped sped by and sideswiped his 2016 Lamborghini Huracán convertible.

The driver's side mirror reportedly broke off in the collision.

Kaya told The Post that he asked for the pair's IDs to complete an insurance claim, but the alleged carjackers reportedly begged for forgiveness.

'The guy was saying, "My mom is going to kill me, I’m going to go to jail,"' Kaya told the publication.

'He offered me $100 cash, and I said it wouldn’t cover the mirror.'

The mirror alone on the expensive luxury car is about $2,400 without labor.

That's when things reportedly took a violent turn.

'He suddenly hit me with his elbow and I fell, and they both started kicking and hitting me,' Kaya told The Post.

One of the suspects reportedly jumped into the Lamborghini, locked the doors and struggled to start the stick-shift vehicle before peeling away on the highway.

The second suspect followed behind on the pair's damaged moped.

The Post reports that the incident happened near the NYPD's tow pound, but neither police officers nor a department helicopter slowed down the carjacker.

One police officer reportedly used a tow truck to stop the Lamborghini, but it simply bypassed the much slower vehicle.

The Lamborghini, with a peak speed of 201mph, accelerated from 0 to 60 in 3.4 seconds before fleeing the scene.

'You can’t chase a Lamborghini with a tow truck,' Kaya told The Post.

The vehicle was not recovered until four hours later and 10 miles away in the entrance of a McDonald's in the Bronx, where it was discovered 'trashed' and completely totaled.

Kaya suffered bruises from the alleged beating and disappointment over his Lamborghini, which he bought just under three months ago.

The New York Police Department are still searching for the suspects.
