Joe Biden claims he is vetting FOUR black women as his VP pick - but refuses to say who exactly - as he promises his administration 'will look like America'

Joe Biden shed a little more light on his vice presidential selection process during a Monday night interview with Joy Reid on her new MSNBC program 'The ReidOut.'
'I am not committed to naming anyone but the people I've named, among them there are four black women,' Biden said Reid when she asked whether he would name a woman of color to the No. 2 position.
Biden didn't specify which four black female politicians are being vetted, though again vowed that his administartion 'will look like America.'

Rep. Val Demings
Rep. Karen Bass
Reps. Val Demings (left) and Karen Bass (right) are also potentially on Biden's list of black female running mate choices. Demings is the former Orlando police chief, while California's Bass could help Biden win over more progressives

Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms
Former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams
If Biden is interested in trying to turn Georgia into a swing state he could choose either Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms (left) or former Georgia gubernaorial candidate Stacey Abrams (right)
Among those who have been rumored to be part of the list: Sen. Kamala Harris, who competed in the Democratic primary against Biden, Rep. Val Demings, a Florida congresswoman who previously served as Orlando's police chief and Atlanta Mayor Kiesha Lance Bottoms.
Additionally, former Obama National Security Advisor Susan Rice, former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams and California Rep. Karen Bass, who comes with strong progressive credentials.
'So it is important that my administration, I promise you, will look like America,' Biden told Reid. 'Both from vice president, to the Supreme Court, to cabinet positions, to every major position int he White House. It's going to look like America. It's critically important that be the case. I can guarantee you that.'
Biden said he was still in the middle of the vetting process for a running mate, explaining that the campaign is getting detailed reports about the candidates, which took 'about six weeks' to compile and those reports are just being finished.
He said the process resembled a 'public physical examination.'
'There's a two-hour vetting report from the lawyers and women and men of color, as well as white folks, that are doing the vetting,' the former vice president explained. 'And we've gone through four candidates so far in a two-hour vetting.'
'And then when I get all the vetting done of all candidates then I'm going to narrow the list and then we'll see - and then I'm going to have personal discussions with each of the candidates who are left,' Biden said.

On Reid's show, Biden boasted that he had long held the support of black women.
'And by the way, black women have supported me my entire career,' he said.  'You all act like suddenly there was an epiphany in South Carolina.'
Biden's support among black Democrats in South Carolina changed his fortunes in his party's primary.
While Biden struggled in Iowa and then New Hampshire, and got a distant second place in the Nevada caucuses to rival Bernie Sanders, Biden won the first southern primary in late February overwhelmingly.
The momentum coming out of South Carolina - and some key endorsements from former rivals including Pete Buttigieg and Amy Klobuchar - allowed Biden to have a successful Super Tuesday, with the primary being essentially over in March.
Sanders, the last rival standing, threw his support behind Biden in April, after both candidates had been pulled off the campaign trail due to the threat of the coronavirus.
Speaking of his strong support from black women, Biden said, 'And so they are the ones, as that old saying goes, that brought me to the dance.'
'I have been loyal, they have been loyal to me,' he added.
